Lead Therapist, Wed. thru Sat., 8am-6pm

Responsibilities The Lead Program Therapist performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. This includes providing basic consultation, teaching/psychoeducation, completing specialized clinical social work services for patients or families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, facilitating therapeutic groups, and providing information and referrals as needed. The therapist collaborates with the interdisciplinary treatment team for coordination and planning of patient care. The Lead Program Therapist also ensures that Social Services team members conduct daily case-management functions at an optimal level, provides direct oversight to maintain compliance with paperwork and patient engagement activities, supports milieu management by ensuring that therapeutic services remain on schedule and patients actively engage, serves as a staff mentor by providing leadership and excellence education to peers and team members, and trains and mentors new therapists and clinicians as appropriate. We are looking for a full-time Lead Program Therapist. Shift: Day, Wednesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, case management or discharge planning, strong clinical assessment skills, hospital experience strongly preferred. Licensure: Program Therapist must be state certified in social work or a clinical related mental health field. LPC-Intern, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW license required. Additional Requirements: CPR certification; Handle With Care and Verbal De-Escalation training within 30 days of employment prior to assisting in a restraining procedure. Must be able to pass a competency exam for the area upon hire. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
