Division of Insurance is recruiting for an Investigator 3 to join our team. This position is an Insurance Investigator in the 4-person Investigation Unit in the Anchorage office. The Investigation Unit investigates telephonic, oral and written complaints of insurance fraud in compliance with Alaska Statute. Under general direction of the Division of Insurance, Chief Investigator and Assistant Attorney General’s office this position provides investigative reports reflecting effective civil and/or criminal investigations. The Investigator 3 has standardized policies and procedures that affect investigations and the preparation of cases. Special Notice: This position requires the ability to qualify for a Special Commission Department of Public Safety. Ability to travel state-wide and outside Alaska and be willing to work irregular or unusual work hours during the course of an investigation. Background check by the Department of Public Safety may be conducted. Equivalent to those typically gained by: Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or progressively responsible investigative work experience performing duties such as locating and gathering information, evidence and/or testimony to be used in civil or criminal proceedings, administrative actions, or governmentally regulated activities which included preparing reports in support of attorneys or agencies engaged in administrative adjudication, and/or detecting and verify suspected fraud, licensing violations, and other violations of state law. Definitions:
