Inventory Control Clerk / Forklift Operator Location: Phoenix, AZ Job Type: Full-Time Work Environment: Warehouse / Outdoor Transload Facility Pay: $21-$23/HR (depending on experience) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Clerk / Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse and logistics operations in Phoenix, AZ. This position combines hands-on forklift operation with inventory management, shipping and receiving, and load auditing. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of forklift experience and inventory control experience , strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in an outdoor warehouse environment, including extreme summer temperatures. Key Responsibilities Perform inventory cycle counts, audits, and reconciliations to maintain accurate stock levels. Inspect and audit incoming and outgoing shipments to verify quantities and documentation. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies. Operate forklifts to safely load, unload, and transport materials. Pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment. Assist with shipping, receiving, and processing incoming inventory. Load and unload trucks, containers, and railcars as needed. Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems. Review shipping documents, packing lists, and inventory reports. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety procedures and communicate inventory issues to management. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of forklift operating experience required. Minimum 3 years of inventory control or related warehouse experience required. Hands‑on experience with cycle counting, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation. Experience with shipping, receiving, and order picking. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems. Ability to read and understand shipping documentation. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Forklift certification preferred. Experience in logistics, rail, or transload operations is a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. regularly. Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and performing physical warehouse duties throughout the shift. Must be comfortable working outdoors in Phoenix summer temperatures and extreme heat. Exposure to dust, noise, changing weather conditions, and moving warehouse equipment. Must follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, and experienced in both forklift operation and inventory control. The ideal candidate is comfortable balancing physical warehouse duties with inventory tracking, documentation, and accuracy while working in a fast‑paced environment.
