Laboratory Technician

We Build with Passion- Clean Harbors Kimball, NE NEEW Incineration unit is seeking an Entry-level Lab Technician that is responsible for the analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties using chromatography and spectroscopy techniques. Starting pay is NEW wage, $22.50 an hour, paid weekly. Safety focused individuals required. Attaches reporting spreadsheet(s) to record. Scans COC and other incoming paperwork and attaches to electronic record. Scans raw data and attaches to electronic record. Manages Lab Supply Room. Receives supplies and reagents. Keeps supply storage tidy and chemical inventory log current. Creates sampling kits (such as stormwater kits) Manages Sample Storage and disposes of samples. Keeps sample storage organized and tidy Scans other records and electronically files them, such as GC/MS raw data. Keeps the Chemical Inventory list up to date to comply with OSHA requirement Assist Chemists as necessary as time permits. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalent - required HS/ College Level Chemistry Class Completion Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (or related science) preferred Prior experience in a laboratory setting Excellent communication, organization, and quantitative skills Proficiency with computer applicationsAbility to document, record, and analyze data and information Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends when necessary Valid Driver's License required Punctuality and attendance required Respirator fit test upon hire - clean shaven face required (mustache okay!)
