Information Security Analyst

Information Security AnalystCGI Federal seeks a technically skilled Information Security Analyst to ensure comprehensive compliance with NIST SP 800 53 controls across cloud based and on premises systems. This role requires hands on expertise in understanding, implementing, and validating technical security controls, as well as the ability to document security procedures and evaluate system changes for security impacts. The analyst will analyze vulnerability assessment findings, drive remediation activities, review audit logs, and support incident management, collaborating closely with system owners and engineering teams. This position is located in our Lafayette, LA, Durham, NC, or Knoxville, TN office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.Your future duties and responsibilities include:NIST Compliance & Security Control ImplementationVulnerability ManagementAudit Log Review & MonitoringIncident ManagementContinuous Improvement & CollaborationRequired qualifications to be successful in this role include:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a closely related technical discipline.Minimum 3 years demonstrated hands on experience understanding, implementing, and troubleshooting technical security controls in enterprise environments.In depth technical understanding of NIST SP 800 53 controls.Experience analyzing vulnerability assessment findings and driving remediation activities.Proficiency in audit log review and analysis.Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills and demonstrating a very high level of attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.U.S. citizenshipDesired qualifications/non essential skills required include:Relevant security certifications.Experience with security automation tools, scripting, and cloud security platforms.Knowledge of incident response frameworks and best practices.Familiarity with GRC tools, especially Xacta.Compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $63,700.00 - $139,300.00.
