Sales Associate PositionThe primary responsibilities of the Sales Associate position are to maintain outstanding customer service, generate sales, merchandise product, support the store management team, customer service focused, positive attitude, and must work weekends and holiday.Major duties and responsibilities include:Maintain awareness of all promotionsExecute the daily operational, day to day goals, and priorities assigned by store managementUphold merchandising and store cleanliness standardsParticipate in the processing of new shipments and help the team to keep the receiving and back stock area clean and organizedResponsive of safety issuesAid customers in locating merchandise in store, as well as, processing special ordersAnswer customers' questions and provide information on policies and proceduresGreet customers and ascertain what each customer wants or needsOpen and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, balancing cash drawers, and making depositsMaintain knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practicesCompute sales prices, total purchases, and receive and process cash or credit paymentWatch for and recognize security risks and thefts, and know how to prevent or handle these situationsRecommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on customer needs and desiresAnswer questions regarding the store and its merchandiseDescribe merchandise and explain use, operation, and care of merchandise to customersTicket, arrange, and display merchandise to promote salesPrepare sales slips or sales contractsClean shelves, counters, and tablesExchange merchandise for customers and accept returnsBag or package purchases, and wrap giftsAll other duties as assignedRequirements include:Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the businessHave knowledge of store products along with the willingness to learnExcellent customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situationsBe a fast learner, cheerful, and possess a positive attitudePrevious experience in a retail environmentKnowledge of retail computer systems, a plusA commitment to service excellence and customer satisfactionA strong team player yet still able to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-taskPhysical and medical requirements include:Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and/or weekends and holidays.Successful completion of all pre-employment screening.No history of allergy-related to animals or plants, which might interfere with ability to work.Employee must be able to occasionally lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.Ability to use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.Ability to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs, or crawl.Required to frequently talk and hear.No impairment of sight, smell, hearing, touch, balance, and agility of movement which might interfere with ability to work.Must be able to take directional cues directly or indirectly.Ability to work in an environment that may be loud at times.Ability to work in all weather conditions, including occasional extreme hot or cold, and wet and/or humid conditions.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.Ability to communicate and relate well to all ages of the general public and with co-workers.Ability to perceive and respond to verbal and visual direction, as well as surrounding environment.Ability to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.Ability to work as part of a team in a constantly changing environment, as well as individually, with minimum supervision.Must exemplify core fundamentals of the Employee Promise, which states:I am empowered to take ownership of any opportunity to exceed expectations.I anticipate guest needs and pay attention to the details.I treat all internal and external customers with respect.I am on stage!
