Experienced PMHNP – Part-Time Outpatient Psychiatry | Pelham, Alabama

ALLY Psychiatry is hiring an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a part-time outpatient psychiatry position in Pelham, Alabama , just south of Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PMHNP or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who enjoys outpatient behavioral health, psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and building ongoing relationships with patients. The ideal candidate will have previous psychiatric experience and an active DEA registration .

What You'll Do

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner , you will provide outpatient psychiatric services to patients across a range of behavioral health needs. Responsibilities may include:

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions
• Provide ongoing psychiatric medication management
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Monitor patient progress and response to treatment
• Provide follow-up psychiatric care
• Collaborate with other behavioral health professionals when appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation

Requirements:

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP/PMHNP-BC)
• Active and unrestricted APRN/NP license applicable to Alabama
• Previous experience practicing in psychiatry or behavioral health
• Active DEA registration
• Strong clinical assessment and medication-management skills
