Technical Project Manager

Engineering Technical Project ManagerLast Energy seeks an engineering Technical Project Manager to manage complex hardware development projects and create an achievable schedule and project plans. This candidate will make decisions in the face of uncertainty, accurately communicate risk, and proactively escalate issues to their cross-functional partners and engineering leadership. This candidate will also empower cross-functional teams to overcome roadblocks and deliver new projects efficiently.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesManaging multiple projects and schedulesImplementing and managing changes to ensure project goals are achievedMeeting with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues and decisions on servicesProducing accurate and timely reporting of project status throughout its life cycleAnalyzing project risksSupporting the creation of the project plan with cross-functional teams to define achievable scope and schedule, with dependencies identified early and incorporated into said planSuccessfully execute the system project plan and support bringing the product to market on time with appropriate trade-offs madeManaging the overall development schedule and critical pathIdentify and evaluate technical risks and drive mitigation strategies cross-functionally to de-risk the project continuouslyManagement and development teams have clear visibility into program progress and are made aware of timeline risks and tradeoff decisionsRunning team meetings for progress reportingEngaging with outside resources for technical support i.e. vendors, supply chain lead timesOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or a related field5+ years of project management experience in hardware product development, from concept to end of life, in a lean, startup environmentProven stakeholder management skillsA basic understanding of nuclear technology and power systems is preferredCompetency in Microsoft applications, including Project, Word, and ExcelCompetency in relevant program management toolsAble to discuss implementation details with engineering, quality, regulatory, and supply chain to identify cross-functional dependencies and technical risks to project completionExcellent record-keeping and documentation skillsExtremely organized and attentive to detail
