Loco Boys Brewing Company is looking for friendly, energetic, and hard-working individuals to join our Food Running team!

We’re a locally owned, independent brewery and scratch Mexican kitchen in Traverse City, and we’re looking for dependable, hard-working people who are comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment while providing genuine, friendly hospitality.

Our Food Runners are an extremely important part of the Loco Boys experience. We operate a hybrid service model without traditional servers, where guests order directly from the bar or order using QR codes at their tables. Because of that, our Food Runners play a major role in taking care of our guests and keeping the restaurant running smoothly.

As a Food Runner, you’ll be responsible for getting food from the kitchen to our guests quickly, accurately and with a friendly attitude. But the job goes well beyond delivering food. Our runners are constantly moving throughout the restaurant, keeping an eye on tables, pre-bussing and bussing dishes, cleaning and resetting tables, and making sure our dining room stays clean, organized and welcoming.

You’ll also interact with guests throughout their visit, greeting them when they arrive, helping when you can, and thanking them as they leave. During slower periods, between rushes, or at the end of a shift, Food Runners also complete side work duties such as rolling silverware, cleaning menus, restocking supplies and helping keep the restaurant ready for service.

We’re looking for someone who:

* Is friendly, outgoing and genuinely enjoys interacting with guests

* Can work quickly and efficiently in a busy, high-volume environment

* Understands the importance of urgency and getting food to guests quickly and accurately

* Takes initiative and recognizes what needs to be done without always being asked

* Is comfortable constantly moving and being on their feet throughout a shift

* Pays attention to tables and knows when to pre-bus, clear or clean them

* Understands the importance of cleanliness and maintaining an organized dining room

* Is dependable, punctual and ready to work

* Works well as part of a team

* Is willing to jump in and help wherever needed

Our service model relies heavily on teamwork. Without traditional servers, our Food Runners, bartenders, hosts and kitchen team all play an important role in creating a welcoming, efficient experience for our guests.
