About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing, boutique digital marketing agency built exclusively for the automotive retail industry. Specializing in high-performance Tier-3 dealership marketing, they design and execute multi-channel campaigns that drive verified showroom visits, service drive appointments, and unit sales for dealer groups nationwide.

They are seeking an Ad Operations Manager to serve as the analytical and operational leader of their digital media team. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day campaign deployment, manage a small team of media coordinators, optimize sizable ad spends across Google and programmatic channels, and leverage modern AI workflows to scale campaign performance.

 

What You Will Do

• Hands-On Multi-Account Execution: Build, launch, optimize, and pace multi-channel ad campaigns across a national roster of dealership accounts, primarily focusing on Google Ads and programmatic channels.

• Master VLA & PMax Volatility: Actively steer Performance Max and Vehicle Listing Ads (VLAs), anticipating and manually counteracting algorithmic delivery whipsaws (such as abrupt traffic shifts between Display and Search) to safeguard lead quality and dealer performance.

• Bulk Account Operations: Leverage tools like Google Ads Editor, formula-driven bulk sheets, and automated workflows to execute high-volume campaign builds and account adjustments efficiently.

• Programmatic & Cross-Channel Management: Oversee programmatic DSP buying (Basis, DV360, or similar) across display, OTT, and connected TV (CTV) to support dealer sales and service campaigns.

• Operational Leadership & QA: Act as the internal technical knowledge hub. Coach and oversee a small team of campaign coordinators, establish bulletproof QA standards, and troubleshoot complex tracking or feed anomalies directly rather than passing the buck.

What We Are Looking For

• Active, Recent Google Ads Mastery: Minimum 2+ years of continuous, daily hands-on execution inside Google Ads within the last two years (Search, Performance Max, and VLAs).

• Automotive Agency Proven Track Record: Direct experience running Tier-3 automotive dealership or dealer group ad spend across multi-account agency portfolios (familiarity with dealer inventory feeds, third-party syndication, and automotive shopper behaviors).

• Technical Self-Sufficiency: A proactive troubleshooter who takes a project and runs with it independently—figuring out complex campaign issues without requiring hand-holding.

• Platform Breadth: Hands-on proficiency with Google Ads Editor. Working familiarity with programmatic DSPs (e.g., Basis, The Trade Desk, DV360) and enterprise ad tools (e.g., Search Ads 360, Campaign Manager 360, or Skai/Kenshoo) is a distinct advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 (commensurate with experience)
