Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Intermediate Care (PCU/Telemetry) position requiring BLS and ACLS certifications and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• 13-week contract with night shift hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• 15-bed Stepdown Intermediate Care unit with all patients on continuous telemetry monitoring
• Patient population includes cardiac, stroke, and progressive care patients
• Unit is staffed with RNs and PCTs
• Hospital provides 24/7 hospitalist coverage along with ER and respiratory therapy support

Requirements

• Active RN license in Indiana or a Compact state
• Current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and management of cardiac drips
• Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and maintain a US home address
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Skills checklist required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsible for coordinating and delivering care to assigned PCU/stepdown patients
