Experience: 10 to 14 years

Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain Alation Data Catalog objects that accurately represent enterprise data assets and support intuitive discovery for data practitioners.
• Create and refine Alation Workflows that document data lifecycle, usage patterns and stewardship responsibilities to promote transparency and accountability.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and product teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions implemented on Hadoop and Alation.
• Optimize existing Hadoop jobs and queries by tuning configurations, refactoring code and improving data structures to reduce latency and resource consumption.
• Establish and enforce data quality validation rules and monitoring practices that ensure trusted information is consistently available for decision making.
