Job summary: Alation skill with excellent client facing skills that can work with non-technical business people and technical resources
Experience: 10 to 14 years
Required skills: Alation, Alation Data Catalog, Hadoop
Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain Alation Data Catalog objects that accurately represent enterprise data assets and support intuitive discovery for data practitioners.
- Create and refine Alation Workflows that document data lifecycle, usage patterns and stewardship responsibilities to promote transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and product teams to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions implemented on Hadoop and Alation.
- Optimize existing Hadoop jobs and queries by tuning configurations, refactoring code and improving data structures to reduce latency and resource consumption.
- Establish and enforce data quality validation rules and monitoring practices that ensure trusted information is consistently available for decision making.
