Social Copywriter

The Role (Temp to Perm)

We're looking for a Social Copywriter who knows how to turn cultural moments, platform behaviors, and brand strategy into sharp, engaging social ideas and copy. You'll concept and write across social channels, creating everything from campaign ideas and video scripts to hooks, captions, reactive posts, and platform-native content.

Working closely with art directors, content creators, strategists, community managers, and client teams, you'll help shape how brands show up and speak in social. You'll understand that great social copy isn't just shorter advertising copy. It needs to feel timely, human, culturally aware, and native to the platform it lives on.

You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment where planned campaigns sit alongside reactive opportunities, and you'll be comfortable generating lots of ideas, adapting quickly, and using performance insights to continually sharpen the work.
What You'll Do:

• Develop social-first creative concepts across multiple brands, campaigns, and platforms.
• Write scripts, hooks, captions, headlines, social copy, video concepts, and other platform-native content.
• Partner closely with art directors and content creators to develop ideas from initial concept through execution.
• Help define and evolve brand voice across social channels, adapting tone appropriately by platform and audience.
• Create content tailored to TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
• Translate briefs, strategies, trends, and cultural moments into compelling social ideas and executions.
• Stay on top of internet culture, social trends, platform updates, memes, formats, and emerging behaviors.
• Identify opportunities for timely and reactive content that feels relevant to both the brand and the conversation.
• Generate multiple creative routes and ideas quickly while maintaining a high bar for craft.
• Collaborate with strategists, community managers, account teams, and other creatives to bring campaigns and always-on content to life.
• Apply brand guidelines while finding fresh ways for brands to communicate authentically in social.
• Review content performance and audience insights to understand what resonates and inform future creative.
• Support live events, activations, shoots, and other brand moments with real-time social concepts and copy as needed.

What You'll Bring:

• 4+ years of copywriting experience within an agency, brand, publisher, or social-first creative environment.
• A portfolio demonstrating strong social-first thinking, conceptual ideas, copywriting, and storytelling.
• Proven experience writing across social platforms, including scripts, hooks, captions, campaign concepts, and reactive content.
• Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to turn briefs, trends, and cultural insights into creative ideas.
• An excellent understanding of tone of voice and the ability to adapt your writing style across different brands and audiences.
• Deep familiarity with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and the evolving social landscape.
• A strong understanding of what makes content feel native to social rather than adapted from traditional advertising.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work quickly, respond to changing priorities, and capitalize on emerging cultural moments without sacrificing quality.
• Collaborative mindset with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• A genuine passion for social media, internet culture, creative storytelling, and great writing.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity. The salary range upon conversion to permanent employment is $85,000-$100,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor. Salary is subject to change based on factors such as geographic location and cost of living in the location of hire.
