Quality Control Technician

This role plays a key part in ensuring products meet internal specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. What You’ll Do Perform sampling, testing, and result verification following ASTM, AASHTO, State DOT, and company procedures Ensure plant operations and delivery processes maintain required quality standards Maintain accurate testing records, logs, and documentation Notify Quality Control management and appropriate personnel when quality issues arise Recommend adjustments to mix designs or material processes based on testing data and field results Communicate required actions to production, dispatch, and delivery teams Analyze test data and prepare reports related to quality or production issues as needed Assist with evaluating and resolving customer quality concerns Work closely with sales, customer service, production, and operations teams Obtain required certifications as assigned Attend safety meetings and training sessions Maintain regular in‑person attendance Perform additional duties as assigned by management Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of walking, standing, sitting, lifting, pushing, and pulling Ability to safely climb and descend ladders Ability to access and navigate plant and job‑site environments Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, or up to 100 pounds with assistance Ability to work outside of normal business hours as operational needs require What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent Strong mathematical abilities, including weights and measurements Excellent written and verbal communication skills Aggregate testing experience highly desired Prior quality control experience in construction or manufacturing preferred Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment Team‑oriented attitude with strong attention to detail Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary What We Offer Company‑paid or discounted YMCA membership Medical, dental, and vision insurance Employer contribution to a Health Savings Account with enrollment in a High Deductible Health Plan Traditional and Roth 401(k) plans with employer match Company‑paid life insurance policy Paid Time Off (Personal, Holiday, Bereavement) Vehicle allowance If you’re ready to contribute to quality materials and work with a team that values safety, accuracy, and long‑term growth, we encourage you to apply!
