AWS Cloud Engineer

AWS Cloud Engineer Oakland, CA (Hybrid - 1 day in a week) 5 months Description This role will be responsible for cloud infrastructure management, CI/CD automation, platform reliability, security compliance, and production operations within AWS environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.Manage and optimize EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, API Gateway, and related AWS services.Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and Terraform.Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automate operational processes.Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and provide production support.Drive vulnerability remediation, security compliance, and platform upgrades.Improve observability, disaster recovery readiness, and operational resilience.Partner with development teams to streamline deployments and improve engineering productivity.Support AWS cost optimization and cloud governance initiatives.Required Qualifications5+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience.Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including EKS, ECS, Lambda, IAM, S3, and RDS.Experience with Terraform, GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.Knowledge of cloud security, vulnerability management, and DevSecOps practices.Strong troubleshooting and production support experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting large-scale enterprise AWS platforms.Familiarity with Couchbase and cloud-native microservices architectures.AWS DevOps Engineer Professional or related certifications.Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.Success MeasuresReliable and secure platform operations.Faster and more automated deployments.Timely vulnerability remediation.Reduced operational overhead through automation.Improved cloud cost efficiency and platform stability.Good communication skills.Motivated to work cross collaboration with teams and flexible on priority changes.Applicant Notices & DisclaimersFor information on benefits, equal opportunity employment, and location-specific applicant notices, click here
