Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant with a manufacturing partner of ours in the Golden Valley area!
- Pay: $45-$53/hr
- Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
- Contract to Hire
- ASAP Start
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Perform complex account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
- Monitor and improve accounting processes and procedures.
- Assist with cash management, fixed asset accounting, and accrual calculations.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and operational teams.
- Prepare supporting schedules and reports for management review.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3-7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience managing month-end close and account reconciliations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
