Our client in Springfield, Massachusetts is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting activities
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support payroll processing and expense reporting as needed
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data

• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related finance experience
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with ERP systems or mid-size company accounting environments
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and reconciliations
• Prior experience in a contract, contract-to-hire, or fast-moving business setting is a plus
