Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing

The Role The senior manager on Fidelity Procurement’s strategic sourcing team leads procurement projects of medium to high complexity, typically supporting a single business group. The role works with business partners to improve Fidelity’s position for the right products, at the right price and contractual terms. The manager should have experience across many business segments, including technology, marketing, financial services, and consulting services. Strong communication skills are essential to partner with Fidelity leaders across business units to achieve greater scale and efficiency. Responsibilities Strategize with key business and technology leaders to develop vendor and product strategies Marshal sourcing efforts, including commercial and contract terms for each project Align and coordinate with risk-based groups to ensure risk mitigation of supplier contracts Seek to achieve outstanding pricing with suppliers Consistently educate and enforce procurement and risk policies Qualifications and Experience BS/BA in business administration or 5-8 years of equivalent experience in procurement Background in sourcing, contracting, or related experience in vendor/product management Experience evaluating, negotiating, and contracting with suppliers Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams through procurement projects Ability to assess risk and translate requirements into viable business solutions Experience with business analytics, developing and presenting business cases and recommendations to decision-makers Experience working with leaders at all levels, from front lines to the C‑Suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills Flexibility to changing needs and process requirements Commitment to data stewardship and ensuring data integrity Excellent time management and multitasking skills Strong process orientation and continuous improvement skills Supplier relationship skills; constructively demanding supplier performance Passion for improving quality and reducing costs while driving optimum business outcomes Capability to perform financial, technical, and performance evaluations of suppliers Excellent organizational and teamwork skills Team and Impact Fidelity procurement helps business partners make smart purchasing decisions that reduce risk and maximize value for the firm.
