Job Overview Primary Location: Peace - Louisville Address: 2020 Newburg Rd., Louisville, KY 40205 Shift: Weekend Days (United States of America) Position Summary and Purpose This position is responsible for providing direct clinical behavioral health and/or substance use services to child, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patients and families. Services include group therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, psycho‑education, discharge planning and coordination with community, government and/or other behavioral health agencies for after‑care services. Essential Functions Under the direct supervision of a board‑approved supervisor, provide therapeutic and case management services. Adhere to Board‑mandated professional development and CEU requirements needed to maintain active provisional licensure. Demonstrate screening and assessment skills to obtain essential information from patients, their families, or collateral sources to develop person‑centered care and discharge plans. Document and communicate key information needed to collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary treatment team to develop individualized and developmentally appropriate care and discharge plans, providing rationale for prioritization and/or deferment of problems. Display proficiency in providing therapeutic interventions to families, individuals, and groups, offering specialized treatment interventions such as sexual offender therapy, play therapy, EMDR, or others if certified/credentialed. Display proficiency in clinical documentation, including development of care plan goals, objectives, and intervention strategies. Other Functions Adhere to all clinical documentation requirements accurately and timely. Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure and Certification) Master’s degree in a behavioral health or human services related field (required). Two years of clinical experience in a behavioral health or human services setting (preferred). Current independent licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Alcohol & Drug Counselor (LCADC), in the state of KY (required). Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) (required). Completion of Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training and ability to perform CPI techniques (required). Job Competency: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Extensive knowledge and skill base of multiple therapies including CBT, trauma‑informed care, motivational interviewing, etc. Comfortable working with populations that are very acute in a hospital setting, collaborating with mental health techs, nurses, behavior analysts, psychiatrists, ARPN, etc. Excellence in building rapport with patients and families and effectively communicating treatment and discharge information, while having working knowledge of agencies and community organizations for referral and collaboration. Language Ability Must be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats. Reasoning Ability Ability to critically think through complex patient situations, process improvements, evidence‑based practice. Ability to assist others in developing clinical reasoning skills. Computer Skills Efficient use of the Electronic Medical Record system in place, Microsoft Word, Office, and Excel, as well as email and maintenance of communication with electronic systems as required. Knowledge of Cerner, STAR, Tele‑tracking, and knowledge hub.
