Electronics Technician

Sustainment Depot TechnicianTCS is searching for a Sustainment Depot Technician to join our strong team of Engineers supporting our Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) customer in Huntsville, AL. The GMD program is a portion of the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) system to protect the US and our allies from ballistic missile attacks. The selected candidate will use modern tools to further the development and sustainment of the GMD system.Job Description:Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solutions. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.Basic Qualifications:HS Diploma or equivalentDepot forward maintenance experienceAssociate Certified Electronic Technician (CETs) certification or equivalent; or demonstrated experience with soldering, troubleshooting and testing in lieu of CET.IPC – 610/620 CertificationMust have the ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.Manual dexterity to handle all types of hand tools (wrenches, pliers, crimp, screwdriver, etc.)Demonstrated ability to review technical manuals, drawings, schematics.Proficiency with Electrical Static Discharge control processesAbility to develop practical solutions to a range of complex problems.Ability to influence the overall objectives and long-term goals of the organization.Ability to understand and apply concepts within the field and related disciplines.Active DoD Secret clearancePreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with any of the following: IPC/WHMA-A-620, MIL-DTL-22520, NASA-STD-8739, and/or ANSI/ESD S20.20.IPC A-610 Class 2 or Class 3 soldering certificateExperience working with spacecraft, aircraft, rocket ordnance/rocket motors, and missile components all a plus.Experience with assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems.Ability to operate a Forklift, truck mounted crane, and other MHE associated equipment.Experience in isolating and correcting malfunctions using automatic and semi-automatic program maintenance diagnostics, unit self-tests, and Built-In Test Equipment (BITE) as well as industry standard commercial off the shelf external test equipment.Proficient in the use of a wide range of test equipment to include multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and power meters.Proficiency performing electrical system diagnostics and troubleshooting to isolate and resolve root cause problems within a circuit card assembly (CCA) or electro-mechanical system.Graduate of a commercial or military maintenance school or programBenefits:Highlights of our benefits include Health/Dental/Vision, 401(k) match, profit sharing, Flexible Time Off, STD/LTD/Life Insurance, Referral Bonuses, professional development reimbursement, vacation, sick leave, and maternity/paternity leave.
