Our organization is actively seeking a psychiatrist to join a dynamic and adaptable float pool model, providing inpatient care across various settings. This position involves delivering psychiatric care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, overseeing treatment plans, and coordinating pharmacological and therapeutic strategies.

The psychiatrist will be scheduled for 30 to 40 weeks each calendar year, with the specific number of weeks determined by the individual. This role is crucial for maintaining high-quality patient care throughout our organization, as it offers coverage during staff vacations, leaves, or other instances requiring additional personnel. This is an excellent opportunity for psychiatrists looking to broaden their experience, as it allows for engagement in diverse facilities and psychiatric specialties. Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduation from an Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School, with completion of an internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training.
• Possession of a current and valid physician license from the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine. Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or eligibility for examination, as evidenced by written documentation.
• Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry.
• Current DEA Registration Certificate.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience, including residency and/or fellowship training.
• Fulfillment of additional credentialing criteria as outlined in Medical Staff By-laws.
