Staff Data Engineer

As a technical leader in data systems, the full-time remote Staff Data Engineer will shape technical direction across warehouse and application-facing systems, strengthen data governance, and guide datastore decisions while collaborating with engineering and analytics teams. Key responsibilities Set architectural direction and raise engineering standards through hands-on partnership and guidance Enhance Snowflake governance and improve data validation processes to increase release confidence across systems Lead datastore initiatives and provide clarity on data ownership and service boundaries across platforms Required qualifications 10+ years of experience in data warehousing, operational datastores, or data architecture Hands-on experience with Snowflake in production, including governance and performance management Strong expertise in relational databases, particularly Postgres, including schema design and optimization Experience with microservices and event-driven systems, preferably Kafka and Debezium Proven ability to influence teams and improve engineering practices in complex environments
