Job Duties

• Operate industrial sewing equipment to produce quality products
• Perform repetitive manufacturing tasks in a fast-paced production environment
• Inspect products to ensure quality standards are met
• Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or abnormalities
• Make minor machine adjustments as needed
• Follow production specifications and work instructions
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Cross-train in various production departments as needed
• Meet productivity, quality, and safety goals

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.
• High school diploma or GED not required

Experience Requirements

• Willing to train motivated individuals interested in learning sewing operations
• Experience operating manufacturing or production equipment.
• Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.
• Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.
• Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial sewing experience preferred but not required
• Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
• Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Sewing Operator.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment preferred.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.

What You Will Do


As a Sewing Operator you will operate, monitor, adjust, and maintain manufacturing equipment to produce quality products according to production schedules and established procedures. You will inspect finished products, replenish materials, identify equipment issues, perform routine machine checks, maintain production records, and support safe, efficient manufacturing operations.

• Performs routine inspections and basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Process Areas: Coiling, Foam Encasement, Assembly, Gluing, Sewing, Borders, Quilting, Closing and Packing

The Sewing Operator plays an important role in manufacturing by operating equipment that supports efficient production and consistent product quality. This position requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to monitor equipment throughout the production process.
