Job Summary
Medical Surgical Float Nurse Santa Fe, New Mexico. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive patient care within a hospital setting, focusing on the adult patient population. Job Details

• Schedule: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM, 12 hours shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications/Licenses: Current New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) license or current Compact state license; BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Skills: Current knowledge and skills appropriate to adult patient care; effective communication skills; sensitivity to patients' rights and needs; ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing environment
• Responsibilities: Obtain and record initial patient assessments; develop and implement individualized care plans; reassess patient progress; perform point-of-care testing; participate in discharge planning and patient education; coordinate unit activities and delegate tasks; promote positive work environment; ensure patient safety and confidentiality; assist with special projects and adhere to organizational policies
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members; flexibility in work schedule; proactive attitude toward professional development
