About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Mon - Fri Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 24 months of current operating room experience required. License: Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required. Certifications: BLS (AHA) required. Must-Have: - 24 months of current operating room experience. - Experience in circulating and operating room procedures. - Pediatric and trauma cases experience required. - Experience in general, da Vinci robotics, and emergency trauma required. - EPIC electronic medical record experience within the previous 3 years required. - Previous trauma level II experience required. - No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel assignment within the previous 15 months. Description: Position involves working in the operating room with a focus on patient care. The nurse will participate in surgical procedures, supporting a variety of service lines including cardiac, neurology, and trauma. The environment includes a fast-paced setting with an average caseload of 35-50 cases per day. The expectation for turnovers between cases is less than 20 minutes. The nurse will float across multiple campuses as needed. Call responsibilities include being on-call overnight and during weekends. Experience with both scrubbing and circulating is preferred. Emergency trauma experience is highly regarded, along with expertise in additional surgical specialties.
