Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our team at San Antonio Wellness and Rehabilitation Center. As a key member of our nursing team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leadership to our rehabilitation and skilled nursing center. About the Role

As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, supervising nursing staff, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. You will also be expected to maintain accurate and timely records, monitor patient progress, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians
Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, including setting goals and objectives
Maintain accurate and timely records, including patient charts, medication records, and other required documentation
Monitor patient progress, identifying and escalating concerns to address potential complications
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to all infection control and safety protocols
