Summer intern, Digital Signal/ Imaging AI

Johnson & Johnson seeks a doctoral candidate to intern within the Innovative Medicine R&D Data, Data Science, and AI organization. The role involves developing machine learning solutions for digital biomarkers, analyzing wearable and imaging data, and supporting disease modeling across multiple global locations.
Responsibilities
- Process, analyze, and extract insights from wearable sensor and neuroimaging data
- Develop and validate machine learning models for digital biomarker discovery and disease endpoints
- Create predictive models for disease severity and progression assessment
- Collaborate with data scientists and subject matter experts to iterate on data science solutions
- Generate actionable insights from real-world physiological and behavioral datasets
Requirements
- Currently pursuing PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Neuroscience, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related quantitative field
- Strong working knowledge of AI and machine learning fundamentals
- Advanced proficiency in Python or R
- Strong skills in predictive modeling, statistics, and large dataset analysis
- Strong technical communication and presentation abilities
- Basic knowledge of data cleaning and data quality practices
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship requirement
