Job Summary

Cardiac Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) Location: The assigned healthcare facility is seeking an experienced RN for a contract position in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role involves pre- and post-procedure patient care for high-acuity patients undergoing coronary and electrophysiology procedures, including preparing patients for cardiac catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiograms, and cardioversions. The nurse will evaluate patients, assist physicians during procedures, and provide education and discharge planning to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Varies: 3 x 12-hour shifts, Days (0600-1830, 0700-1930, 0800-2030). Call requirements including Saturday and Sunday on a rotational basis, approximately once every four to six weeks. Call includes Saturday from 0700-1700 and Sunday from 0700-1400.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in AZ or a compact state, CPR certification, ACLS certification, and BLS certification. The candidate must have at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in PACU, ICU, telemetry, cath lab, or surgery center settings will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Additional Information: The registered nurse in the Cardiac Observation Unit provides a high level of care for patients pre- and post-procedure, including sedating, circulating, and documenting bedside procedures such as TEE and cardioversions. This role involves assisting with patient discharge, medication administration, and supporting physicians during examinations and treatments.
