Job Description Overview We are a well‑established, family‑owned transmission shop that has proudly served our community since 1975. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Transmission Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience removing and installing transmissions, diagnosing drivetrain issues, and working efficiently in a professional shop environment. Key Responsibilities Remove and install automatic and manual transmissions on a wide range of vehicles Perform drivetrain‑related repairs including transfer cases, differentials, axles, and related components Assist with basic diagnostic procedures to identify transmission or drivability issues Inspect vehicles for leaks, damage, and worn components before and after installation Flush and clean coolers, lines, and related systems as required Road‑test vehicles before and after repairs when necessary Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Communicate clearly with service writers and team members regarding repair status Follow all shop procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards Qualifications Proven experience as a transmission installer or automotive technician Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of drivetrain systems Ability to safely operate lifts, shop equipment, and specialty tools Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship ASE certifications are a plus but not required What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Steady, year‑round work in a reputable, long‑standing shop Supportive family‑run environment Opportunities to grow your skills and responsibilities #J-18808-Ljbffr Habbys transmissions
