QUALIFICATIONS for Speech Therapist: Current MA State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist Must have flexibility as a person to be a part of a dynamic and cooperative team, to distribute the workload equitably and according to the individual’s staff position within the department. Have the capability to evaluate or assess patients, participate in consultations, teaching and meeting with all levels of residents, staff, family, and other professionals, in order to: plan individualized treatment plans and goals, discuss and plan appropriate discharge plans, and teach and counsel patients and staff Responsibilities for Speech Therapist: Providing speech therapy services to the facility promoting excellence of rehab care, promoting interdisciplinary cooperation and quality of patients care and promoting the facility geriatric rehab program to the medical and public.
