Registered Nurse, Epilepsy | Boston Childrens Hospital
Key responsibilities:
- Triaging and managing patient messaging and communication via phone and patient portal
- Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying plans of care for a specific patient assignment throughout the healthcare continuum.
- Providing exemplary patient care and working closely with physician partners and members of the interdisciplinary Epilepsy team.
- Contacting patients for changes in clinical management.
- Providing ongoing care coordination between clinic visits by communicating with families, healthcare team members and other agencies involved.
- Educating patients and families regarding disease management and medications.
- Assisting with completion of prescriptions, school forms, medication and DME insurance authorizations, and other community networking resources and referrals
- Working 40 hours per week: (4) 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday
Minimum qualifications:
- Education: BSN degree
- Experience: At least two years of Pediatric RN experience in either inpatient or ambulatory setting required. Neurology and/or epilepsy experience preferred
- License/certification: MA RN license
