Radiology TechnologistFrisco First Surgery Center is looking for a full-time Radiology Technologist to join our team. The Radiology Technologist is responsible for operating X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment under the direction of the Medical Director/Physician.Essential functions include assuring that all materials and other required equipment are present and in working order, selecting proper ionizing factors for radiologic diagnosis, positioning patients, adjusting equipment to obtain the best quality x-ray of the specific body area requested by physician, and protecting patient and other personnel from radiation hazards.The role also involves setting up and operating radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients, implementing infection control procedures, conducting X-rays, checking X-rays for clarity of image, and maintaining radiographic supplies, film, and equipment.The candidate must follow all safety rules, correct minor safety hazards, report all accidents promptly, and maintain patient and family privacy rights and confidentiality of patient records in accordance with policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements.Knowledge of human anatomy, principles and practices of diagnostic radiographic procedures, basic chemistry, film apparatus, and film processing techniques, occupational hazards and safety precautions, computer and relevant software applications, and the ability to work independently and maintain effective and organized systems are required.Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Associates Degree in Radiology Studies, licensed by the Medical State Board of Texas as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT), certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and one (1) year of radiology experience in a healthcare facility are required.Benefits include three medical plans, two dental plans, one vision plan, employee assistance program, short and long-term disability insurance, basic and voluntary life with AD&D plan, 401(k) with a 2-year vesting, PTO + holidays.
