About the Role Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Civil Engineering Technician to support their projects in Welkom . In this hybrid role, you will play a crucial part in translating engineering designs into practical plans and ensuring the smooth execution of construction projects. You will work closely with engineers and site teams, contributing your technical skills to ensure quality and adherence to specifications. This position offers a blend of office-based design work and site-based activities, providing a varied and engaging career path. You will join a reputable firm known for its commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions and fostering employee development. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed engineering drawings, plans, and technical documentation using CAD software. Assist in conducting site surveys and investigations to gather necessary project data. Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards. Perform calculations for quantities, material estimates, and basic structural components. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and site personnel to address technical queries and resolve site issues. Ensure all project documentation is accurately maintained and organized. Requirements National Diploma or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Civil Engineering Technician. Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with other civil design software is essential. Strong understanding of construction principles and site supervision practices. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
