Enterprise Data Architect

Enterprise Data ArchitectSegra is searching for a qualified and experienced Enterprise Data Architect to join us in a full-time capacity.The work arrangement for this role is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of three (3) days in the office, with flexibility to work remotely two (2) days each week.Role OverviewData Architecture involves transformation, continuous improvement, and documentation of Segra's data ecosystem to modern, scalable, cloud-enabled architecture. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing enterprise data strategies, modernizing data environments, and enabling advanced analytics, AI, and business intelligence capabilities.QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience/combined educationRequired Experience:8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise architecture roles.5+ years leading enterprise-scale data modernization initiatives.Experience designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms.Strong understanding of:Data warehousingData lakes and lakehousesData integration patternsData modeling methodologiesMaster data managementMetadata managementData governance frameworksExperience with SQL and modern data engineering technologies.Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.Preferred Experience:Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.Knowledge of AI/ML and enterprise data architectures supporting artificial intelligence initiatives.Experience implementing DataOps and Agile delivery methodologies.TOGAF, Azure, AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, or relevant architecture certifications.Experience leading data architecture and enterprise transformation programs.Key Competencies:Strategic ThinkingEnterprise Architecture LeadershipData Platform ModernizationCloud ArchitectureBusiness PartnershipInnovation & Continuous ImprovementExecutive CommunicationProblem SolvingChange LeadershipCross-Functional CollaborationAbout SegraSegra owns and operates a wide and dense fiber-optic infrastructure footprint that provides state-of-the-art connectivity, cybersecurity, voice, cloud and colocation solutions, all backed by industry-leading service and reliability.
