Our Pharmacy Managers play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence in their respective pharmacy by acting as a role‑model, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for their pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Manager, you will lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care by promoting best practices and leading through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities. Responsibilities Operate directly and effectively with the pharmacy team, ensuring safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices. Oversee pharmacy operations during bench shifts, strengthening performance measures through coaching and consistent follow‑up. Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by directing the team to follow workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation. Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, collaborating with the patient’s total healthcare team, and proactively resolving insurance and medication issues. Proactively offer and deliver immunizations, identifying and supporting Pharmacy Technicians who learn to immunize. Manage inventory, emphasizing best practices and protecting cold‑chain products. Conduct onboarding for new Technicians and Pharmacists, ensuring timely completion of required training and licensure. Maintain full compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations, escalating issues to the Rx DL when necessary. Partner with the Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline, ensuring cross‑trained colleagues complete required licensure training. Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (if applicable), managing performance through observation, feedback, and annual reviews. Write or delegate the creation of the pharmacy schedule and remain flexible for scheduling and business needs. Review business reporting for operational insights, develop action plans to close gaps in workflow, service, patient care, and compliance. Establish a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion, providing psychological safety and actionable feedback. Maintain and expand clinical and technical skills through required trainings, CMEs, and industry learning. Support access to care through pharmacist‑delivered clinical services such as testing and prescribing (e.g., COVID/Flu, hormonal contraception). Ensure compliance with all federal, state, professional, and ethical standards, and with CVS Health policies for safe dispensing and privacy. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacist License in the state of the store. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not listed on the DEA Excluded Parties list. 1–2 years of experience as a Pharmacist. Ability to attend required training within designated timeframes. Strong customer‑service orientation, communication, and problem‑resolution skills. Physical ability to lift up to 20 lbs., lift repeatedly, and perform tasks requiring reach, coordination, and precision. Team‑management skills, including delegation, coaching, and performance feedback. Preferred Qualifications Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM‑EL) program. 3–5 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer‑service setting. Ability to work in the home store and cross‑market locations to meet business needs. Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $65.00 – $81.00 per hour (base hourly rate or base annual salary). Eligible for bonus, commission, or short‑term incentive programs. Full‑time, regular schedule of approximately 34 hours per week.
