Assistant Wrestling Coach

Description Richmond County Public Schools is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual to serve as Assistant Coach for the Wrestling program at Rappahannock High School. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for wrestling, a commitment to student-athlete development, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive team culture. Maintain and help to lead the Wrestling program. Foster positive communication with parents, athletes, and potential athletes. Assist with coordinating off-season camps and conditioning programs. Encourage good sportsmanship and enthusiasm for the sport. Collaborate with other coaches to ensure a comprehensive approach to athlete development. Perform other duties as necessary to support the mission and vision of Richmond County Public Schools. The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor and a demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with diverse individuals. Required Skills & Abilities Language: Ability to read and interpret professional materials, complete forms, write reports, and communicate effectively. Reasoning: Problem-solving and ability to follow written, oral, and diagrammed instructions. Other Abilities: Ability to identify student needs and build effective relationships with students, staff, administrators, and parents. Physical Demands: Ability to communicate in a busy environment, move around gymnasiums, and read materials. Attendance: Regular attendance, including frequent evening and weekend work, is required.
