About the Role:
Pol-Tech Machining is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist / Programmer to join their team in Woodruff, SC! Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce precision machined components
- Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and CAM software
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications
- Perform in-process quality inspections using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make program or tooling adjustments as needed
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding equipment for each job
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with shop standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist and/or CNC Programmer in a precision machining environment
- Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM software (Mastercam)
- Specifically looking for expertise in Swiss Lathe, EDM (or willing to learn quickly), and/or multi-axis milling (3, 3+2, full 5).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T callouts
- Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers
- Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling, and material properties
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to tight tolerances and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment
