Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager My client, an industry leading food ingredient manufacturing company in the Barrington, IL area is seeking a Procurement Manager to join their dynamic team. This position will be responsible for leading procurement activities while managing a team of buyers. Responsibilities Lead procurement activities for ~$30M annual spend across raw materials and packaging supporting multiple manufacturing sites Manage and develop a team of buyers, setting goals and driving performance Oversee key ingredient categories including coffee, tea, citrus oils, vanilla, spices, food chemicals, and packaging Develop and execute sourcing strategies, supplier negotiations, contracts, and RFQs Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while ensuring cost, quality, and delivery performance Drive cost savings, inventory optimization, and supply risk mitigation initiatives Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, and Sales teams Monitor commodity markets, pricing trends, and purchase price variance against budget Ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and supply requirements Requirements Bachelor’s degree and APICS and CSPM certifications 7+ years of experience in a procurement role with a food manufacturing company 3+ years in a leadership role Strong collaborative skills and ability to partner cross-functionally Tech savvy – EPR systems, Microsoft Strong analytical skill Strong organization skills My client is offering a generous compensation package including bonus and relocation assistance if needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr CPS Inc.
