Position: Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10am - 3pm or 3 full days/week
Salary: $30/hour
Start Date: Flexible / ASAP for the right fit
About the Family
A warm and welcoming private family is seeking a reliable and proactive Housekeeper/Cook to join their household as they prepare to welcome a new baby. Responsibilities include full housekeeping, preparing simple dinners, and occasional care for their 3-year-old.
They are looking for someone trustworthy, organized, and warm who can become a steady, long-term presence in their home.
Children: One child, age 3, with a baby on the way
Home Size: Private family residence
Pets: Three friendly dogs
Household Staff: none
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized home through daily cleaning and housekeeping
- Handle laundry for the entire family, including washing, folding, and putting away
- Meal prep/cook easily simple meals
- Run errands to the grocery store
- Keep the kitchen and common areas tidy and well-organized
- Provide occasional loving, attentive care for a 3-year-old
- Respect the family’s preferences regarding limited and intentional screen time

The ideal candidate is highly reliable, organized, and motivated, with a warm, nurturing, and pleasant demeanor. They are a self-starter when it comes to cleaning and maintaining the home, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly. They are naturally attentive with children and respectful of the parents’ preferences and household routines. A calm presence, positive attitude, and genuine enjoyment of working in a family setting are essential, along with a love of cooking. The family is seeking someone committed to a long-term role who will become a valued part of their household.
Requirements
- Prior experience working as a Housekeeper in a private home with children
- Excellent references
- Legal to work in the United States
- Comfortable with dogs
- Physically active and able to keep up with a toddler
- Comfortable working with a child who is not fully vaccinated
