Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is currently seeking an experienced Scheduler to assist the Director of Nursing in the development of the nursing schedule for the nursing department.

This person is responsible for communication, as directed by the Director of Nursing, with staff about the scheduling changes, requesting time off and coordinating the schedule for the nurses.

Requirements of the Scheduler:

• MUST  have experience in staffing and scheduling
• At least 1 year of staffing experience in an in-patient or long-term care setting
• Prior experience with Smartlinx is preferred
• Clinical experience is a bonus!
• Associates degree or equivalent is required.
• Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.

Responsibilities of the Scheduler:

• This position completes the nursing department schedule for all units, all shifts, on a timely basis.
• Provides daily update of open shift needs and initiates daily contact with skilled nursing staff to fill open shift needs.
• Input new schedules, and adjust existing schedules using our software program (Smartlinx)
• Find replacement staff when necessary to always ensure adequate staff coverage.
• Completes daily timekeeping functions, completes daily staffing reports, and processes nursing staff time off requests in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned by the Administrative team
• Ensures all units and shifts are staffed adequately and always meets the minimum PPD set forth by the daily staffing budget
• Reconcile 24 hour staffing sheet and understands and calculates PPD daily in accordance with DOH standards
• Maintain vacation/PTO requests process and ensures shifts are covered
• Communicates open positions to nursing leadership and HR
• Coordinates with outside nursing agencies for staffing needs and ensures all required credentials are obtained
• Keeps nursing leadership abreast of daily staffing status
