Our client is a Texas-focused general equipment rental company backed by a large, privately held parent organization. It rents everything from small equipment, light towers, and tools to aerial and earthmoving equipment. Its fleet is built on major OEM brands, and new fleet arrives consistently.

The company is growing and adding sales headcount in DFW, one of the most active construction and development markets in the country. Every branch has a dedicated service manager and strong branch leadership behind the sales team.

The Role

As an Outside Sales Representative, you'll own a DFW territory and drive rental revenue by putting fleet on rent with contractors and any business that needs equipment. This is a hunting role. The job is to find projects, win accounts, and build relationships so customers call you first. You'll report to the branch manager, with regional support from an area sales manager.

What You'll Do

•      Prospect contractors, developers, and commercial and industrial customers across your territory

•      Sell rental contracts across the company's general rental fleet and grow utilization at your branch

•      Track new development and job sites in your territory and get in front of projects early

•      Build long-term customer relationships and grow share of wallet with existing accounts

•      Partner with branch operations and service to deliver a strong customer experience

Requirements

•      Experience selling in the equipment rental space is strongly preferred. Adjacent specialty rental backgrounds, such as fluid solutions, trenching and shoring, and HVAC or climate-control rental, translate well.

•      Rental-industry professionals ready to move into outside sales, including rental coordinators, dispatchers, inside sales reps, and technicians with prior sales exposure, are encouraged to apply

•      A hunter mentality and a track record of developing a territory and cadence of calling on customers

•      A competitive, self-directed approach to managing your own book of business

•      A valid driver's license

Benefits

•      Base salary: $36,000

•      Commission: on rental revenue, with reps expected to reach six-figure total earnings in year one. Top reps earn as much as $10,000 per month in commission.

•      Commission guarantee: available to qualified candidates for three to six months and paid in your biweekly paycheck. If your earned commissions exceed the guarantee, you're paid the higher amount.
