About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (09:40 - 22:10) Experience: Minimum of 2 years of neuro experience required License: RN license Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Neuro experience, including craniotomy, aneurysm clipping, cervical and lumbar fusion Description: Evening shifts from Monday to Friday, three 12-hour shifts. Weekend call rotation and possible holiday call responsibilities. Experience in a high acuity setting is required. Proficient in neuro equipment and surgeries such as aneurysm clipping, cervical and lumbar fusions, laminectomy, and craniotomy for tumors. Equipment includes sonopet, bone scalpel, bipolar instruments, and intraoperative MRI. Experience with microscopes Mitaka, Leica, Kinevo, and Pentero is beneficial. Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols is essential. Familiarity with Epic charting system is required. Candidates must have experience handling high-acuity cases. This role involves coordination with interdisciplinary teams for neuro and endovascular procedures. The position requires adherence to strict testing criteria related to telemetry interpretation. Candidates must be prepared to float as needed. Experience working with trauma patients at Level I and Level II facilities is desired.
