Clinical Assistant Professor

Position Title Clinical Assistant Professor Department Department of Pharmacy Practice - MU2953 Location MUSOP - Marshall University School of Pharmacy (Kopp Hall) Salary Salary commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity. Responsibilities Deliver didactic teaching and hands‑on simulation instruction. Provide academic advising to students. Participate in curriculum development and assessment. Contribute to college and university committees. Engage in scholarly and research activities in the candidate’s area of expertise. Required Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD). Completed a PGY-1 residency or academic fellowship, or at least 3 years of comparable clinic experience. Hold or be eligible to sit for a board certification exam (BPS, CGP, CDE, or other relevant certification). Hold or be eligible for pharmacist licensure in West Virginia (must obtain to hold the position). Be licensed or eligible for licensure in West Virginia as a pharmacist immunizer. Commitment to educational excellence and research collaboration. Preferred Qualifications Board certification (BCPS, BCACP, BCOP, etc.). Completed PGY-1 residency or academic fellowship and at least 4 years of experience in education and pharmacy practice. Teaching expertise in lab and simulation instruction, and inter‑professional education. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal teamwork skills. Significant knowledge and expertise in advanced pharmacy practice and evidence‑based medicine. Knowledge of traditional therapeutics and patient‑centered care. Specialty expertise in acute care/internal medicine, hematology/oncology, endocrinology, addiction, or pharmacist care in special populations.
