Janitor/Groundskeeper

OVERVIEW The Janitor/Groundskeeper is primarily responsible for performing assigned custodial, grounds and minor maintenance duties for the facility. Will assist with room setup/breakdown for events and meetings. This role will also pick‑up/deliver items, as needed, using a 24-foot air brake truck. RESPONSIBILITIES Perform daily, weekly, monthly custodial duties for facility including restrooms such as but not limited to dusting, vacuuming, floor cleaning, trash removal, glass cleaning, restocking of soap, paper products, etc. Act as courier for pick‑up/delivery of items as needed. Keep all equipment in clean and good working condition and maintain needed supplies. Perform groundskeeping duties as needed such as but not limited to mowing, trimming, fertilizer, snow removal, salting, etc. Set‑up and breakdown rooms for events and meetings as needed. Complete small maintenance tasks in the building as needed such as minor plumbing repairs, hang items on walls, minor carpentry repairs, painting. EDUCATION & SKILLS High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior experience with commercial custodial tasks, equipment and chemicals preferred. Ability to safely use lawn equipment including mowers, trimming tools, and snow removal. Ability to do minor painting, carpentry, plumbing using associated tools. Clean driving record and ability and willingness to be able to drive a 24-foot air brake truck. Respond to emergency calls as needed in the event of severe weather or damages. WHY JOIN DMI COMPANIES?
