Function4: Seeking a motivated, skilled, and customer-focused IT Help Desk Engineer to join our growing IT Support team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

As an IT Help Desk Engineer, you will provide technical support to clients across multiple environments, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, manage support tickets, and assist with maintaining secure and reliable IT operations.

This position requires someone who can work independently, collaborate with team members, prioritize multiple requests, and take ownership of technical issues from initial contact through resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for hardware, software, networks, and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Troubleshoot Windows systems, Microsoft 365 applications, network connectivity, VPNs, and printers.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
• Monitor and resolve support tickets while meeting established SLAs and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Utilize remote support and RMM tools for troubleshooting, software deployment, and system maintenance.
• Assist with user onboarding, offboarding, workstation setup, and endpoint security.
• Communicate professionally with clients, provide timely updates, and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Participate in technical training, process improvements, onsite support, and scheduled after-hours rotation.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5 years of IT Help Desk, Desktop Support, or technical support experience.
• Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Entra ID.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, printers, and network connectivity.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and basic networking.
• Experience with ticketing systems and remote support tools.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VoIP systems, cloud applications, and SaaS platforms.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices, MFA, endpoint protection, and compliance requirements.
• IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or equivalent certifications.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study AND one year of relevant work experience. Three years of closely related work experience may substitute for an associate’s degree with certifications.
