Family Support Specialist | Youth Power

The Family Support Specialist position is part of the Youth Power team of staff and partners developing and implementing a justice systems-involvement prevention program that is grant funded by the Office of Adult & Juvenile Justice Assistance. This position reports to the Family Engagement Manager. This position is grant-funded through June 2028. Employment beyond that date is dependent on future funding and cannot be confirmed at this time. This position works directly with families and caregivers of school-aged children to increase caregiver engagement in their child or children’s development, strengthen home-school-community partnerships, improve communication between families and schools, and build protective factors that support positive youth outcomes. This position is based out of the Youth Power Eagle and Avon offices and requires travel to Eagle County School District Schools and public meeting spaces. Develop trusting relationships with families, identify strengths, risks, and barriers, and provide individualized support that recognizes cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic differences. Support families in navigating school systems, educational opportunities and community resources. Provide crisis navigation, resource coordination, and warm handoffs to community partners. Collect, track, document, and report activities, referrals, outcomes, and follow-up data. Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and program partners.
