Job Title

Job duties include:

• Performs installation access control for pedestrians and vehicles utilizing standard operating procedures, written orders and regulatory requirements.
• Authenticates identification through use of electronic systems, identification cards, badges, biometric records, verbal questioning, and other means.
• Validates entry requests and grants access to persons and vehicles with appropriate authorizations.
• Serves as the initial point of contact for visitors which may include foreign nationals, government agents, elective officials, media and VIPs.
• Provides answers to questions, determines whether appropriate need for access exists, and provides assistance as required.
• Responsible for performing and resolving a full range of both standard procedural and non-recurring/unusual visitor access assignments.
• Operates and performs research queries on the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) workstation terminal(s) in accordance with federal and state laws.
• Processes a variety of NCIC queries and provides timely response as appropriate or required.
• Regulates pedestrian and vehicular traffic to prevent accidents and to ease congestion and parking problems.
