PCU Registered Nurse (RN)This position requires a dedicated Registered Nurse to work within the Float Pool, providing care to patients across all Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) floors, particularly those with cardiac conditions. The nurse will be responsible for managing a varied cardiac population, including patients presenting with STEMI, NSTEMI, chest pain, and those undergoing cardiac surgery. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:3-4.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to patients in PCU and IMCU settings, including telemetry beds with lower acuity.Administer and monitor cardiac medications and drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors.Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations.Respond to medical emergencies and provide necessary interventions as required.QualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license.Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar sized facility, specifically in a cardiology or critical care environment.Ability to float between various units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.Minimal requests for time off (RTO) preferred.Skills and CompetenciesStrong assessment and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.Proficient in using medical equipment and technology.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled nurse looking to take on new challenges in a dynamic environment while providing high-quality cardiac care to patients.
