Minimizes risk of harm by following nursing practices and protocols. Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate errors, and support ethical decision‑making. Uses data to monitor care outcomes and employs improvement methods to design and test changes for continuous quality and safety enhancement. Functions effectively within nursing and inter‑professional teams, fostering open communication, mutual respect, and shared decision‑making to achieve quality patient care. Creates an environment of belonging and inclusion, demonstrates problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills, and pursues professional growth. Acts in a preceptor role to appropriate staff members. Actively participates in hospital‑ and practice‑setting based committees, such as safety and quality improvement, and integrates feedback into practice. Minimum Qualifications Specialized Diploma Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Knowledge of patient‑ and family‑centered practice and the ability to convey respect and collaborate with patients, families, and designated care partners. Knowledge of cultural awareness and ability to connect effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds. Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to transmit, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and needs accurately. Knowledge of patient assessment and care, including the ability to evaluate ailments and injuries and implement treatment plans. Knowledge of patient and designated care partner education techniques and the ability to elicit learning priorities and provide education. Knowledge of medication administration and prescription and the ability to apply these to patient care. Knowledge of discharge planning and the ability to develop discharge plans and arrange follow‑up care. Knowledge of assessment and diagnosis tools, and the ability to analyze symptoms and generate solutions based on available resources. Knowledge of health information documentation practices, and the ability to record medical histories, vital signs, medications, diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately. BLS – Basic Life Support certification. RN license (PA – State of Pennsylvania, NJ – State of New Jersey). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree BSN or completion of BSN or an advanced degree within three years of hire strongly preferred. At least one year of RN experience in an acute care setting strongly preferred. Additional Qualifications Active RN license required in the state of practice. Physical Demands Requires the ability to lift and carry 40–50 lbs. Includes tasks such as pushing/pulling patients on beds or stretchers, lateral transfers, standing, walking, and performing CPR. May require kneeling, bending, squatting, and other activities specific to the role.
