IT Pharmacy ConsultantThe IT Pharmacy Consultant is responsible for managing and supporting pharmacy applications, medication management systems, and clinical information systems across the organization. This individual will collaborate closely with pharmacy leadership, nursing departments, physicians, and IT teams to improve clinical workflows, enhance patient safety, and drive technology initiatives.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate organizational initiatives and develop systems and procedures that support strategic goalsPartner with Pharmacy, Nursing, Emergency Department, and other clinical areas to identify technology needs and implement effective solutionsManage and support pharmacy applications and closed-loop medication management systemsOversee inpatient and ambulatory drug formularies within clinical systemsCoordinate implementation, optimization, and maintenance of clinical applicationsServe as the primary liaison between IT, Pharmacy, Nursing, Clinical Departments, Medical Staff, and LeadershipSupport clinical system projects, upgrades, integrations, and workflow improvementsEnsure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety requirementsRequirementsBachelor's degree requiredCurrent Ohio Pharmacist LicenseMinimum of three (3) years of acute care and retail pharmacy experienceFour (4) years of experience in systems administration, systems analysis/design, clinical systems, project management, or an equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge of accreditation and regulatory standardsExperience supporting large enterprise clinical systems projectsEpic certification and/or Epic implementation experienceStrong organizational, analytical, and multitasking abilitiesExcellent attention to detail and communication skillsPreferred RequirementsExperience with clinical information systems and medication management technologiesKnowledge of nursing operations and interdisciplinary clinical workflowsWhy Join Us?If you're a pharmacist with strong clinical systems expertise and a passion for improving patient care through technology, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact while advancing your career.
